At Owl Farmhouse, we do things a little differently. There are no kennels or cages. Our guests live alongside us in the farmhouse, with plenty of space to snooze, play, potter and generally make themselves at home.
We keep numbers small, which means every dog gets the individual care, company and attention they need – whether they're a sociable soul who wants to be in the middle of everything, or would rather find a quiet corner and judge us from a distance.

A TYPICAL DAY
We don't run a strict timetable because, frankly, most dogs only care about mealtimes. But a day at Owl Farmhouse will usually involve a good morning walk in the Cotswold countryside, breakfast, snoozing, another walk, games, snacks, more snoozing and a great deal of fussing from our team.
There are acres to explore, a large secure garden to run around in and plenty of humans available for throwing balls, scratching ears and scooping poop before that one dog eats it. You know who you are.
BED & BREAKFAST. AND DINNER. AND SNACKS.
We know dogs can be particular about food, so you're welcome to bring whatever your dog usually eats and we'll stick to their normal routine.
We also bake our own dog-friendly treats at Owl Farmhouse, and of course fresh water is always available. If your dog prefers dirty water, there are usually many puddles and rivers to choose from.
SLEEPING ARRANGEMENTS
Every guest has their own bedtime space inside the farmhouse, either in the Barkhouse, which sleeps four dogs, or one of our two upstairs bedrooms, each sleeping up to two dogs from the same family. We have loads of dog beds, but you’re welcome to bring their own if they’re fussy about these things.
During the day there are sofas, rugs and underfloor heating indoors, and a garden full of sun patches and paddling pools in summer.
If your dog sleeps in a particular way at home, tell us. Our aim is to keep their routine as familiar as possible, as long as it’s not in our bed. We have three dogs of our own. It’s hard enough already.
WALKS, PLAY & GENERAL MUCKING ABOUT
We're surrounded by beautiful Cotswold countryside, so walks are a big part of life here. We'll tailor them to your dog's age, energy levels and enthusiasm for getting filthy.
Older dogs and little legs can take things gently. Energetic dogs can cover some proper miles. And anyone who considers a leisurely sniff of the same hedge for six minutes to constitute exercise will be given the time they need.
Back at the farmhouse, there's our large secure garden for playing, exploring, zoomies and basic agility, if showing off is their thing.
HOME FROM HOME MEANS HOME FROM HOME
Before your dog stays with us, we'll want to know all about them: what they eat, where they sleep, what they love, what they hate and whether the postman has personally wronged them.
We'll also ask about medication, health needs and anything else that helps us look after them properly.
Most importantly, we want to know what makes your dog your dog. The strange habits, favourite things and tiny bits of routine that help them feel safe and settled.
Because while they’re at Owl Farmhouse, they're one of ours.
